Flag football uniform orders, in short
Sharknits makes flag football uniforms for girls' high school teams and for women's and coed leagues. Jerseys are long enough to stay tucked in, and shorts are one solid color with no pockets or belt loops. Visiting teams wear white, so most teams order a dark set and a white set. The minimum is 25 pieces per design, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plus shipping. We quote FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to your door. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship. Schools can pay with a purchase order, on the terms in their quote.

The flag football uniform rules
As of October 2026. States adopt the flag rules of the NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) with their own notes, so check yours.
- Shorts: one solid color that contrasts with the flags, with no pockets, belts, belt loops or exposed drawstrings, in the Tennessee and Alaska rules.
- Jerseys: long enough to stay tucked in, in the same two states' rules.
- Visitors: white jerseys, under the NFHS flag rules.
- Numbers: Georgia's 2026 rules ask for at least 6 inches on the front and 8 on the back. We make flag numbers at least that big.
- Illinois: flag belts carry two flags, and teams bring their own belts.
A dark set and a white set
Visiting teams wear white, so most teams order two sets.
- Home: a dark jersey in your team color, like the teal of our HUDDLE jersey.
- Away: a white jersey with numbers in your team color.
- Illinois: teams may keep their light visitor jerseys and their striped bottoms until 2030. The IHSA (Illinois High School Association) asks that new visitor jerseys be white.
- For Illinois teams: we make visitor jerseys in white and bottoms in one solid color.
- The minimum: each set is its own design, so each starts at 25 pieces.
Girls' flag football is growing
It led the growth in high school sports in 2025-26.
- Players: 102,360 girls played at 3,990 high schools, up 48.7% in a year, the NFHS reported in October 2026.
- States: 37 states will run it as a school sport or a pilot program by next year, the NFHS said in October 2026.
- Illinois: in 2025, over 6,700 girls played at 225 schools, third in the US after California and Florida.

Questions buyers ask
What do girls wear for flag football?
A jersey long enough to stay tucked in, and shorts in one solid color with no pockets, belt loops or drawstrings on the outside. Many teams add compression shorts, a practice shirt and a warm-up jacket. Players also wear a flag belt, which we do not make.
What are the uniform rules?

No. We do not make flag belts and flags. In Illinois, flag belts carry two flags, and teams bring their own.
Can we have white and dark sets?
Yes. Visiting teams wear white, so most teams order a dark home set and a white away set. Each set is its own design, so each starts at 25 pieces.
When should we order for the fall season?
Start about 12 weeks before your first game. For a season that starts in early August, start by early May. In Illinois, girls' flag football is a fall sport, so most teams order in the spring.
Do you make youth flag football uniforms?
Yes, from 50 pieces per design, with sizes mixed. Youth orders ship FOB Karachi. Your company imports them and issues the Children's Product Certificate. Our factory sends samples made from bulk materials to your lab and sews your tracking, fiber and care labels. It also gives you the factory name, address and production month for the certificate.
