Kids clothing orders, in short
Sharknits makes kids clothing for brands, from baby bodysuits, rompers and sets to kids tees, hoodies, jackets, pajamas and youth team uniforms, in sizes from newborn to 16. The minimum is 50 pieces per style and color, with sizes mixed, and youth team uniforms start at 50 per design. We send samples to the testing lab the brand picks, sew permanent tracking labels and make kids tops with no hood or neck drawstrings. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. Kids orders are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi, so the brand imports the goods. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

Fabrics we use for kids clothes
Tell us how the clothes should feel, or send a piece you like. You check the fabric on your sample before bulk.
- Cotton interlock and rib: soft knits for bodysuits, rompers, sets and snug-fitting pajamas.
- Certified organic cotton fabric: ask for the mill's certificate with your quote. To sell a garment as organic, your brand also needs the papers for that lot.
- Viscose made from bamboo: for baby clothes and pajamas. US rules say to call it viscose made from bamboo, not bamboo.
- French terry and fleece: for kids hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatsuits and joggers.

The US rules for kids clothing, in short
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
- Children's products: in the US, clothing made mainly for kids 12 and under is a children's product.
- Lab tests: a lab that the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) accepts tests your samples. The tests cover lead in snaps, zippers and prints, flammability, and the sleepwear rules for pajamas.
- The certificate: the US importer issues the Children's Product Certificate. Since July 8, 2026, the importer also files its data with US Customs when the goods arrive.
- Tracking labels: each piece carries a permanent label that says who made it, where, when and in which batch.
- Drawstrings: no drawstrings at the hood or neck of kids tops in sizes 2T to 12.
- What we do: we send samples to the lab you pick, sew your tracking labels and make kids tops with no hood or neck drawstrings.

Questions buyers ask
What is your minimum for kids clothes?
50 pieces per style and color. You can mix sizes within that number. Youth team uniforms start at 50 pieces per design.
Can I mix sizes?
Yes. Sizes can be mixed within the 50 pieces of each style and color, for example newborn to 24 months in one order.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. Bulk starts only after you approve it.
How long does a kids order take?
After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. Plan more time if you need several sample rounds.
Can one order have baby clothes and youth sizes?
Yes. One order can have baby, kids and youth styles. Each style and color has its own minimum of 50 pieces.
Who issues the Children's Product Certificate?
The US importer of the goods, which is usually your brand. Since July 8, 2026, the importer also files the certificate data with US Customs at entry. We send samples to the lab you pick and sew your tracking labels.
Do you sew tracking labels?
Yes. We sew a permanent tracking label into every piece, with the details your brand gives us, such as the brand name, where and when it was made, and the batch.
Why are kids orders FOB only?
The company that imports kids clothing into the US issues its Children's Product Certificate. Since July 8, 2026, it also files the certificate data with US Customs when the goods arrive. On a DDP (delivered duty paid) order, we would be that importer. So we quote kids orders FOB Karachi: your brand imports the goods and issues its own certificate. We send samples to the lab you pick and sew your tracking labels.
Where are the clothes made?
In our factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan. Our U.S. corporate office is near Chicago.
