Kids pajama orders, in short
Sharknits makes kids pajamas and sleepers for brands in two kinds. Snug-fitting sets and zip sleepers come in cotton or viscose made from bamboo, with the snug-fitting neck label and the yellow hang tag. Looser pajamas come in flame-resistant fabric. The brand's lab tests either kind. The minimum is 50 sets per style and color, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. Kids orders are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi, so the brand imports the goods. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.
Snug-fitting or flame-resistant
US rules allow two kinds of kids sleepwear. You pick one for each style.

How the two kinds differ
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
| Compared | Snug-fitting | Flame-resistant fabric |
|---|---|---|
| Fit | Close to the body, within the size table of the US rule | Can be looser |
| Fabrics | Cotton or viscose made from bamboo | Fabric made to pass the sleepwear flame test |
| Labels | "WEAR SNUG-FITTING, NOT FLAME RESISTANT" under the size, and a yellow hang tag | Care instructions that keep the flame resistance |
| What is checked | The fit against the size table, and the general clothing flame test | The sleepwear flame test, on the fabric and the garment |

What is the difference between snug-fitting and flame-resistant pajamas?
Snug-fitting pajamas are cut close to the body, within the sizes in the US rule. They carry the "WEAR SNUG-FITTING, NOT FLAME RESISTANT" label and a yellow hang tag. Flame-resistant pajamas can be looser, but their fabric and the finished garment must pass the sleepwear flame test. Your lab tests either kind.
Do you make pajamas in viscose made from bamboo?
Yes, as snug-fitting pajamas and sleepers. The label says "viscose made from bamboo" or "rayon made from bamboo", as the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires.
What labels do snug-fitting pajamas need?
As of October 2026: "WEAR SNUG-FITTING, NOT FLAME RESISTANT" on the neck label, right under the size, and a yellow hang tag with set wording. Your lab confirms the exact format, and we make them with your labels.
Is loungewear different?
No. In the US, kids clothes made or sold for sleeping or lounging count as sleepwear, whatever their name, so the same rules apply.
What is the minimum?
50 sets per style and color, with sizes mixed.
Do baby sleepers need other tests?
Yes. Sleepwear for kids 3 and under counts as a child care article, so its plastisol prints and plastic parts are tested for phthalates. Pieces sized 9 months and under are exempt from the sleepwear flame rule within set lengths.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. Bulk starts only after you approve it.
