Baby clothing orders, in short
Sharknits makes baby clothes for brands, in sizes from newborn to 24 months: bodysuits, rompers, two-piece sets, pull-on pants, hats, bibs and sleepers. Fabrics are cotton interlock or rib, certified organic cotton fabric or viscose made from bamboo. The minimum is 50 pieces per style and color, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. Kids orders are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi, so the brand imports the goods. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

Fabrics for baby clothes
Tell us how the clothes should feel, or send a piece you like. You check the fabric on your sample before bulk.
- Cotton interlock and rib: soft knits for bodysuits, rompers, sets and snug-fitting sleepers.
- Certified organic cotton fabric: ask for the mill's certificate with your quote. To sell a garment as organic, your brand also needs the papers for that lot.
- Viscose made from bamboo: for bodysuits, sets and sleepers. Its label says viscose made from bamboo, not bamboo.
What US rules ask of baby clothes
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
- Lead: snaps, zippers and prints are tested for lead. Fabric colored only with dyes needs no lead test.
- Phthalates: sleepwear and bibs for kids 3 and under are tested for phthalates, mainly in plastisol prints and plastic parts.
- Sleepwear: pajamas and sleepers are snug-fitting or made in flame-resistant fabric. Pieces sized 9 months and under are exempt within set lengths.
- Tracking labels: every piece carries a permanent label with the brand, where and when it was made, and the batch.
- The certificate: the US importer, usually your brand, issues the Children's Product Certificate.

We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping.
Changes go into another sample round before bulk starts.

What is your minimum for baby clothes?
50 pieces per style and color. You can mix sizes within that number.
Can I mix sizes from newborn to 24 months?
Yes. Sizes can be mixed within the 50 pieces of each style and color.
Do you offer certified organic cotton fabric?
Yes. Ask for the mill's certificate with your quote. To sell a garment as organic, your brand also needs the papers for that lot. Using the USDA (US Department of Agriculture) organic seal also needs USDA certification.
Do you offer viscose made from bamboo?
Yes. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) wants it labeled "viscose made from bamboo" or "rayon made from bamboo". A label or listing that says only "bamboo" is not allowed for it.
Can you print the label inside the neck?
Yes. We can print the size and care details inside the neck instead of sewing in a tag.
Do snaps need a lab test?
Yes. Snaps are among the parts your lab tests for lead. We send samples to the lab you pick, and bulk starts after you approve the sample.
Can you pack sets in gift boxes?
Every order ships in our standard packaging. Gift boxes, custom bags, tissue and stickers are a separate order, confirmed with your quote.
How long does a first order take?
One sample round, then bulk in about 3 to 5 weeks after you approve the sample, plus shipping. Plan more time if you need several sample rounds.
