Dance team uniform orders, in short
Sharknits makes dance team uniforms for studios and for school, college and all star teams: pom, jazz, hip hop, kick and lyrical uniforms, with warm-ups and practice wear to match. Lettering comes in sparkle twill, and stones can go on the neckline, a logo or the seams. The minimum is 25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Adult sizes are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to the buyer's door. Kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi only, so the buyer imports them. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

From the sample to the first event
- Sample: one physical sample, $150 to $500 depending on the design. Your team tries it on.
- Bulk: about 4 to 6 weeks after you approve the sample.
- Shipping: by air, about 1 to 2 weeks.
- Packed: each uniform folded in its own clear bag.
- Order early: count back about 14 weeks from your first event.
Kids sizes and the US rules
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
- Minimum: 50 pieces per design in kids sizes, with sizes mixed, quoted FOB Karachi. You import them.
- Children's products: in the US, dancewear sized for kids 12 and under is a children's product.
- Lab tests: a lab that the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) accepts tests your samples for lead in the stones, sequins, prints and metal trims. Plain dyed fabric needs no lead test. Some fabrics need a flammability test.
- The certificate: the US importer issues the Children's Product Certificate. Since July 8, 2026, the importer also files its data with US Customs when the goods arrive.
- Tracking labels: each piece carries a permanent label that says who made it, where, when and in which batch.
- What we do: we send samples to the lab you pick and sew your tracking labels. We make kids jackets and hoodies with no hood or neck drawstrings.

We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping.
Changes go into another sample round before bulk starts.

What is the minimum for dance team uniforms?
25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes. You can mix sizes within that number.
Can we mix sizes?
Yes. Sizes can be mixed within each design, from the smallest dancer to the tallest.
Can coaches and parents order the same uniform?
Yes. Coaches and parents can order the same design in adult sizes, in the same order.
Can you add stones and sparkle?
Yes. Stones along the neckline, a logo or the seams, and lettering in sparkle twill, like our KICKLINE top. You see all of it on your sample before bulk.
Can each dancer's name go on the uniform?
Yes. Send one list with each name and size. We confirm the cost of names with your quote.
How early should we order for nationals?
Start about 14 weeks before the event. That covers about 3 weeks for the sample, up to 6 weeks of bulk and up to 2 weeks by air. That leaves 3 weeks to try everything on. Our guide has order-by dates for the 2027 season.
Can you match our school colors?
Yes. Send your colors as color codes or a fabric swatch. You check every color on your sample before bulk.
Do the US kids rules apply to junior teams?
Yes, when the uniforms are sized for kids 12 and under. Kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi: you import them, your lab tests the samples and you issue the Children's Product Certificate. We sew your tracking labels.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. Bulk starts only after you approve it.
