Leotard and unitard orders, in short
Sharknits makes leotards and unitards for dance teams, studios, dancewear brands and gymnastics clubs: solids, prints and mesh, in nylon and spandex or polyester and spandex. A design can be printed all over by sublimation, with mesh panels, stones and a woven label with the buyer's mark. The minimum is 25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Adult sizes are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to the buyer's door. Kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi only, so the buyer imports them. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

Mesh, binding and labels

Unitards, from the shoulders to the ankles
A unitard is one piece with full-length legs. It can share the fabric, the mesh and the logo of a leotard.
- Footless: the legs end at the ankle.
- Mesh back: the same back panel as the leotard, like our ADAGIO.
- For teams: a leotard and a unitard can carry one design across the team.
- Minimum: 25 pieces per design in adult sizes, 50 in kids sizes.
Gymnastics club leotards
Club leotards printed all over by sublimation, with stones where you want them.
- Print: your club's design, dyed into polyester and spandex by sublimation, so it can run across the seams.
- Stones: clear or colored stones along the lines of the design.
- Sleeves: long sleeves, or none.
- Logo: your club's own logo, printed as part of the design.
Kids sizes and the US rules
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
- Minimum: 50 pieces per design in kids sizes, with sizes mixed, quoted FOB Karachi. You import them.
- Children's products: in the US, dancewear sized for kids 12 and under is a children's product.
- Lab tests: a lab that the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) accepts tests your samples for lead in the stones, sequins, prints and metal trims. Plain dyed fabric needs no lead test. Some fabrics need a flammability test.
- The certificate: the US importer issues the Children's Product Certificate. Since July 8, 2026, the importer also files its data with US Customs when the goods arrive.
- Tracking labels: each piece carries a permanent label that says who made it, where, when and in which batch.
- What we do: we send samples to the lab you pick and sew your tracking labels.

We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping.
Changes go into another sample round before bulk starts.

What is the minimum for leotards?
25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes. You can mix sizes within that number.
Can you print our design all over?
Yes. Sublimation dyes your design into polyester and spandex, so it can run edge to edge, like the gymnastics leotard on this page.
Can you add mesh panels?
Yes. Mesh at the back, the neckline or the sleeves, like the back of our ADAGIO leotard.
Do you make unitards?
Yes. Footless unitards, from the shoulders to the ankles, in the same fabrics, mesh and colors as our leotards.
Do you make gymnastics leotards?
Yes. Club leotards printed by sublimation, with long sleeves or none, and stones where you want them.
What fabric do you use?
Nylon and spandex or polyester and spandex. Tell us how it should feel, or send a leotard you like, and we confirm the fabric with your quote.
Do the US kids rules apply?
Yes, to leotards sized for kids 12 and under. Kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi, so you import them and your lab tests the samples. We sew your tracking labels.
