Claims and labels

What your labels can say

As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice.

  • Water: call a jacket waterproof only when test results for your fabric and seams back it up, as the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires.
  • Protection: a claim about protection needs proof too. In the EU (European Union), riding gear needs a certificate in your brand's name.
  • Labels: textile gear needs the fiber content, the country of origin and your company name, or the number the FTC registers to your company. It also needs a care label.

Questions

Questions buyers ask

What is the difference between an adventure jacket and a touring jacket?

A touring jacket is cut for long road trips, with a liner for cold days. An adventure jacket is made for roads and gravel, with heavier panels and more pockets. Both can have vents and pockets for protectors.

Are the liners removable?

Yes. The quilted liner zips out, so the jacket works in more kinds of weather.

Can you make it waterproof?

We can tape the seams and add a liner. Call the jacket waterproof only when test results for your fabric and seams back it up.

Do you make mesh jackets?

Yes. Mesh jackets for summer riding, with solid panels at the shoulders and elbows and pockets for protectors.

What is the minimum?

12 pieces per design, with sizes mixed.

How long does it take?

After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 6 to 8 weeks, plus shipping.

How much does a sample cost?

We confirm the sample price with your quote, because it depends on the design and the materials. Bulk starts only after you approve the sample.
