Sharknits makes custom bomber jackets for clothing brands, in nylon, satin, melton wool or leather, with your rib trims, lining and logo. Logos can be chenille, embroidery, appliqué or patches. The minimum is usually 25 pieces per style and color, and sizes can be mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. Bulk starts only after you approve the sample.

Questions buyers ask

What is the minimum order for bomber jackets?

Usually 25 pieces per style and color. You can mix sizes within that number. Tell us what you are making and we will confirm.

Which fabric should my bomber jacket be?

Nylon gives the classic flight jacket look. Satin has a shine and suits team and warm-up jackets. Melton wool is warm and works well with chenille. Leather is the heaviest and most formal. Tell us the look you want, and we will suggest one.

Can you make an MA-1 style bomber?

Yes. An MA-1 style bomber has a nylon body, a knit collar, cuffs and hem, and often a zip pocket on the sleeve. We make it to your design, in your colors.

Can you add chenille or embroidery?

Yes. Our BOLT bomber has SHARKNITS in chenille with a felt edge, and our SHARK bomber has its art in tonal embroidery. We also sew on patches and appliqué.

Do you make leather bombers?

Yes. We make leather bombers and flight jackets in cowhide or lambskin, with knit trims. See custom leather jackets.

Can the rib trims be striped?

Yes. The collar, cuffs and hem can be plain or striped in your colors, like the blue and cream stripes on our BOLT bomber.

How much does a sample cost?

One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. You check the fit, the trims and your logo before we make your full order.
