Custom sweatshirt orders, in short
Sharknits makes custom crewneck sweatshirts for clothing brands. We cut and sew each one to your fit, in fleece or French terry, then add your print, embroidery and labels. The minimum is usually 25 pieces per style and color, and sizes can be mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

What is the minimum order for custom sweatshirts?
Usually 25 pieces per style and color. You can mix sizes within that number. Tell us what you are making and we will confirm.
What is the difference between a sweatshirt and a hoodie?
A sweatshirt, or crewneck, has a round rib neck and no hood. A hoodie has a hood, and often a drawcord and a front pocket. We make both.
Fleece or French terry for a sweatshirt?
Fleece is brushed inside, so it is softer and warmer. French terry has loops inside, so it is lighter and breathes. Our French terry vs fleece guide compares them side by side.
How heavy should a sweatshirt be?
It depends on the feel you want. A heavier fabric feels thicker and warmer. Tell us the weight in GSM (grams per square meter), or send a sweatshirt you like, and we will match it. Our GSM guide explains the numbers.
Can you acid wash our sweatshirts?
Yes. Our GRIT crewneck on this page is acid washed: the dye is stripped in an uneven cloud, so no two pieces match.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. You check the fit, the fabric and the print before we make your full order.
Do I need a tech pack?
No. Send a photo of a sweatshirt you like, a sketch or a tech pack. We make the pattern, then one sample for you to check.
