Ordering from the Gulf, in short
Sharknits makes custom clothing for brands, teams and companies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, in its factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan. Orders ship by air courier with DHL, FedEx or UPS, quoted FOB Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to the buyer's door. The minimum is usually 25 pieces per style and color, and sizes can be mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

What each country charges on clothing
These rates are as of October 2026. Customs duty is charged on the CIF (cost, insurance and freight) value. VAT (value added tax) is charged on that value plus the duty. Confirm the rate for your product with your customs broker.

Companies, hotels, clinics, clubs and brands in these four countries order the same way: one sample first, then the full order, shipped by air courier. The duty and VAT rates are as of October 2026.
- Qatar: 5% customs duty and no VAT. Doha is two hours behind our factories in Pakistan.
- Kuwait: 5% customs duty and no VAT. Kuwait City is two hours behind our factories.
- Bahrain: 5% customs duty and 10% VAT. Manama is two hours behind our factories.
- Oman: 5% customs duty and 5% VAT. Muscat is one hour behind our factories.
How an order to the Gulf works
- Send your design. It can be a sketch, a photo or a tech pack. Tell us the quantity and the date you need it. Use the form below, WhatsApp or email.
- Get your quote. We quote each style FOB Karachi or DDP to your door, and confirm the shipping time to your city.
- Check one sample. We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design, and send it to you by courier. You pay the shipping for the sample.
- We make your order. Bulk starts after you approve the sample. Every piece is checked against it.
- Pay before it ships. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship. On 500 pieces or more, you pay 30% when you order and 70% after the final inspection.
- We ship it by air courier. We send it with DHL, FedEx or UPS, with tracking, to your door.
Ramadan and national days
- Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around February 8. For kits for a Ramadan tournament, send us your design by early December.
- Saudi Founding Day is on February 22, and Saudi National Day on September 23.
- UAE National Day is on December 2.
- Count back from your date: shipping, then bulk production, then the sample round before it. For cut and sew clothing, plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds.
Questions buyers ask
Do you ship to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman?
Yes. We ship samples and orders to all six GCC countries by air courier, with DHL, FedEx or UPS, with tracking. We confirm the shipping time to your city with your quote.
Do you have an office or a showroom in the Gulf?
No. We make everything in our factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan, and ship it to you. Our corporate office is near Chicago, in the US. We work with Gulf buyers on WhatsApp and by email, from the first message to delivery.
Who pays the customs duty and VAT?
You choose. With an FOB Karachi quote, you book the freight from the port of Karachi and pay the duty and VAT when the goods arrive. With a DDP (delivered duty paid) quote, we deliver to your door with the duty and VAT paid, for one price.
What is the minimum order?
Usually 25 pieces per style and color, with sizes mixed. Team uniforms start at 25 pieces per design, scrubs at 50 pieces per style and color, and boxing gloves at 12 pieces per design.
Do you make uniforms for companies, hotels and clinics in the Gulf?
Yes. We make work shirts, polo shirts, chef coats, aprons, scrubs and lab coats with your logo. Scrubs and work shirts can carry each person's name. Most start at 25 pieces per style and color, and scrubs at 50.
Can you make labels in Arabic?
Yes. We can sew labels in Arabic and English. For Saudi orders, the labels carry the details the Saudi rule for textile products asks for, such as the fiber content, the size, the country of origin and the care instructions.
How long does an order take?
It depends on the product and how many sample rounds you need. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. After you approve the sample, team uniforms take about 3 to 4 weeks, and sports gear about 3 to 5 weeks. Shipping comes on top, and we confirm it with your quote.
Is there a free trade deal between Pakistan and the GCC?
Not yet in force. Pakistan and the GCC initialed a free trade agreement on September 28, 2023. On October 8, 2026, it was still waiting for one GCC state's approval before signing, so normal duty rates apply.
How do I pay?
Full payment is due when your order is ready to ship. On 500 pieces or more, you pay a 30% deposit when you order and the 70% balance after the final inspection, before the goods ship. We accept bank transfers, PayPal and major credit cards.
