Headgear orders, in short
Sharknits makes custom boxing headgear for gyms, clubs and brands, in three styles: open face, cheek protector, and full face with a bar. Every style has crown laces, a back closure and a chin strap. The minimum is 12 pieces per design. The shell is cowhide leather, goatskin leather, or PU (synthetic, not leather). PU is polyurethane. Your logo is printed or embossed, plus woven labels. The headgear is made for training and sparring. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. We make the gear in our own factories in Pakistan, with a US office near Chicago. We quote FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to your door. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

- Open face: no cheek panels, for sparring with full vision.
- Cheek protector: panels at the cheeks, for more cover at the sides.
- Full face: cheek panels and a padded bar across the front, for sparring.

Sizing headgear
Headgear is sized by head circumference, measured about an inch above the eyebrows with a soft tape. This is one glove maker's published chart, a guide only. We confirm our sizes with your quote.

Fit and care
Set the fit in this order, and keep the headgear dry between sessions.
- The crown laces: set them first, so the openings sit level.
- The back closure: then close it at the back of the head.
- The chin strap: snug, with room to move the jaw.
- After each session: wipe the lining and let it air dry. Never store it in a closed bag.

We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping.
Changes go into another sample round before bulk starts.

Training gear, not bout gear
Our gloves and headgear are made for training, sparring and bag work. They are not on USA Boxing's certified list. Sanctioned USA Boxing events use certified gloves and headgear, and the organizer supplies the gloves. Check your event's rules before you order.
Some amateur tournaments also require open-face headgear with no cheek protectors.

What is the minimum?

Can sizes be mixed?
We confirm our size range, and how sizes count toward the 12 pieces, with your quote.
Can we wear it in USA Boxing bouts?
No. Our headgear is made for training and sparring, and it is not on USA Boxing's certified list. Sanctioned USA Boxing events use headgear from that list.
Leather or synthetic?
Cowhide leather, goatskin leather, or PU (synthetic, not leather). PU is polyurethane. You check the shell on your sample.
How do I size it?
Measure around the head, about an inch above the eyebrows, with a soft tape. Published charts size headgear by that measure. We confirm our sizes with your quote.
How long does an order take?
First we make one sample for you to check. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 5 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Plan about 12 weeks before you need the gear.
