BJJ gi orders, in short
Sharknits makes custom BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) gis for academies, teams and brands, in your colors, with your logo. The jackets are 450 GSM (grams per square meter) pearl weave. Your logo is embroidered on the gi, or on embroidered, woven or chenille patches. The minimum is 12 sets per design, a set being one jacket and one pair of pants, and one design's 12 sets can mix sizes. IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) events take white, royal blue or black. The gis are made for class, training, team and school use. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plus shipping. The gis are made in Pakistan, in our own factories, and our US office is near Chicago. We quote FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to your door. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship. Kids sizes start at 12 per design and ship FOB Karachi.

12 sets of one design
An academy can order 12 sets or more of one gi design.
- 12 sets: the minimum per design, with sizes mixed.
- A set: one jacket and one pair of pants.
- Belts: ordered with the gis, from 12 per color.
- Patches: your academy's logo on each gi.
Your logo and patches
Your logo goes on the gi in embroidery, or on a patch sewn on.
- Embroidery: your logo stitched into the gi.
- Patches: embroidered, woven or chenille patches, sewn on.
- Where they go: IBJJF rules allow cotton patches, properly sewn, only in the areas their rule book shows.
- The collar: we keep it plain.
Sizes and shrinkage
Gis shrink a little when they are washed. Plan your sizes with that in mind.
- Sizes: confirmed with your quote. One design's 12 sets can mix sizes.
- Published charts: they size adult gis from A0 to A6, women's gis by F sizes and kids' gis by M sizes.
- Shrinkage: published guides put a pearl weave gi at about 3 to 5%. We confirm ours with your quote.
- Your sample: wash it once and check the fit before you approve bulk.
Colors for competition
IBJJF events take gis in white, royal blue or black, with the top, pants and collar in one color.
- For competition: white, royal blue or black, one color for the whole gi.
- For training: we make each order in your colors.
- The fabric: IBJJF rules ask for cotton or cotton-like woven fabric for every age, kids too.
Kids gis
Kids sizes start at 12 per design and ship FOB Karachi. You, or the importer you work with, bring them into the US and issue the Children's Product Certificate. Our factory sends samples made from bulk materials to your lab and sews your tracking, fiber and care labels. It also gives you the factory name, address and production month for the certificate.

Made for class, training and school events
We make each order in the colors and cut you choose for your event's rules. No federation approves or labels our uniforms. At an event, the event's own uniform check decides. Check your sample against your event's rules before you approve bulk.

Yes, from 12 per design. Kids sizes ship FOB (free on board) Karachi, and you, or the importer you work with, issue the Children's Product Certificate.

How long does an order take?
First we make one sample for you to check. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Plan about 12 weeks before you need the gear.
