Grappling shorts and spats orders, in short
Sharknits makes custom grappling shorts and spats for BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) academies, no-gi and MMA (mixed martial arts) teams and brands. They come in your colors, with your logo. No-gi means grappling in a rash guard and shorts instead of a gi. The spats are polyester and spandex, printed by sublimation, with flat seams. IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) events have their own shorts rules, so we make each order in the cut you choose for your event's rules. The minimum is 12 pieces per design, and one design's 12 pieces can mix sizes. We confirm the closure of the shorts, the lengths and the sizes with your quote. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plus shipping. The shorts and spats are made in Pakistan, in our own factories, and our US office is near Chicago. We quote FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to your door. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

- Length: at least to mid-thigh, and no lower than the knee, under the same rules.

Grappling spats
Spats are tight stretch pants, also called compression tights.

- UWW (United World Wrestling) grappling: compression tights under the shorts are required.

What is the minimum?

Do they have pockets?
IBJJF rules ban open pockets, buttons, exposed drawstrings, zippers, and plastic or metal parts on shorts. We make each order in the cut you choose for your event's rules.
Which lengths?
IBJJF rules ask for shorts from mid-thigh to the knee. We confirm the inseams and the spats lengths with your quote.
Spats full length or three-quarter?

Can we wear them in tournaments?
Check your event's rules. UWW grappling rules require compression tights under the shorts. IBJJF rules name spats for women only, and men may wear compression shorts under the shorts.
How long does an order take?
First we make one sample for you to check. After you approve it, bulk takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Plan about 12 weeks before you need the gear.
