Sharknits makes custom chenille patches from your artwork: varsity letters, numbers, crests and mascots, in your colors. Order them on their own, from 100 pieces per design, or sewn onto jackets and hoodies we make. Tell us how you plan to attach them, and we confirm the backing on your sample. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.
What chenille can do
Chenille is loops of soft yarn that stand up off the fabric. Here it is on real pieces.
Chenille vs embroidered patches
Both start from your artwork, in your colors. The difference is the yarn and the feel.

What is a chenille patch?
A patch made of soft, looped yarn that stands up off the fabric. It is the classic look for varsity letters and crests.
What is the minimum order for custom chenille patches?
100 pieces per design. Tell us how many designs you need and we will confirm.
Can you make chenille letters for letterman jackets?
Yes. We make chenille letters, numbers and crests, on their own or sewn onto the varsity and letterman jackets we make. The Fince Up jackets on this page carry crests we made.
Chenille or embroidered: which should I choose?
Choose chenille for big letters, numbers and crests with a soft, raised feel. Choose embroidered for logos with more detail or small text. Send your logo and we will suggest one.
Can a chenille patch have more than one color?
Yes. A patch can use several yarn colors, and a felt edge in another color. The letters on our NOVA hoodie fade from orange to pink.
How are chenille patches attached?
Tell us how you plan to attach them, and we will confirm the backing on your sample before bulk.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. You check the colors, the size and the feel before we make your full order.
Do I need a design ready?
No. Send your logo or a sketch. We draw the patch, then make one sample for you to check.
