Dancewear orders, in short
Sharknits makes dancewear for dance studios, school and college teams, all star teams and dancewear brands: team uniforms, competition and recital costumes, leotards and unitards, team jackets and warm-ups, and practice wear. It is made in our factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan. The minimum is 25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes, with sizes mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. After you approve it, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping. By air, shipping takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Adult sizes are quoted FOB (free on board) Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to the buyer's door. Kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi only, so the buyer imports them. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

Tell us who the dancewear is for. A whole team, a studio's classes or a brand's first line, we make it to the approved sample.
- Dance studios: recital and competition costumes, team jackets, and practice wear for the studio shop.

Kids sizes and the US rules
As of October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the details with your testing lab.
- Minimum: 50 pieces per design in kids sizes, with sizes mixed, quoted FOB Karachi. You import them.
- Children's products: in the US, dancewear sized for kids 12 and under is a children's product.
- Lab tests: a lab that the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) accepts tests your samples for lead in the stones, sequins, prints and metal trims. Plain dyed fabric needs no lead test. Some fabrics need a flammability test.
- The certificate: the US importer issues the Children's Product Certificate. Since July 8, 2026, the importer also files its data with US Customs when the goods arrive.
- Tracking labels: each piece carries a permanent label that says who made it, where, when and in which batch.
- What we do: we send samples to the lab you pick and sew your tracking labels. We make kids jackets and hoodies with no hood or neck drawstrings.
Your art, or one of our designs
We make your design or one of ours. We do not copy another company's uniform or costume art.
- Start from a sketch: or from a photo that shows the cut you want. We draw the design, then make one sample.
- Start from our designs: KICKLINE, ENCORE, ADAGIO, TEMPO and FINALE can carry your colors and your team's name.
- Logos and characters: for a school, team or character logo, we need written permission from its owner.
- Your colors: send color codes or a fabric swatch. You check every color on your sample before bulk.
Sample first, then your order
We make one physical sample for $150 to $500, depending on the design. You can make changes during sampling. After you approve the sample, bulk takes about 4 to 6 weeks, plus shipping.

Questions buyers ask
What is your minimum for dancewear?
25 pieces per design in adult sizes and 50 in kids sizes. You can mix sizes within that number.
Can one design come in kids and adult sizes?
Yes. The kids sizes are quoted FOB Karachi, under the US kids rules, and the adult sizes FOB Karachi or DDP to your door. We confirm how the minimum counts for a mixed order with your quote.
How early should we order for an event?
Start about 14 weeks before the event. That covers about 3 weeks for the sample, up to 6 weeks of bulk and up to 2 weeks by air. That leaves 3 weeks to try everything on. Our guide has order-by dates for the 2027 season.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. Bulk starts only after you approve it.
Do you make dancewear under my brand?
Yes. Your designs, colors, logos, labels and hang tags. The pieces carry your brand, not ours.
Can you copy a costume from a photo?
We use a photo to see the cut and the fit you want. The art, the colors and the stonework must be your own or one of our designs. We do not copy another company's costume art.
Where is it made?
In our factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan. Our US corporate office is near Chicago.
What US duty applies to dancewear from Pakistan?
As of October 2026, it is the normal duty for the product's tariff line, plus a 10% duty on goods from Pakistan under Section 301. The 10% has applied since July 24, 2026. For example, US Customs rulings put dance leotards under line 6114.30.30, at 14.9%, plus the 10%. Your customs broker confirms the line for each product.
Do you take returns?
No. Each piece is made to order, in the sizes you send. Defects are different: report them within 7 days, with photos and videos. We refund the unit price for up to 5 defective units, or remake the goods if 6 or more are unusable.
