Sharknits makes custom clothing for brands, teams and companies in the UAE, in its factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan. Orders ship by air courier with DHL, FedEx or UPS, quoted FOB Karachi or DDP (delivered duty paid) to the buyer's door. As of October 2026, the UAE charges 5% customs duty on the CIF value of clothing, plus 5% import VAT. The minimum is usually 25 pieces per style and color, and sizes can be mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

Two ways to buy
- Choose DDP for one price to your door, with the duty and VAT paid. It suits first orders and buyers with no freight forwarder.
- Choose FOB Karachi if you work with a freight forwarder and want to book the freight yourself. You pay the duty and VAT when the goods arrive.
- Compare landed costs, not the prices on the quotes. Add the freight, the duty and the VAT to an FOB price first.
- Ask for both. We quote FOB Karachi and DDP to your door, so you can compare.

Questions buyers ask
Do you have a factory or an office in Dubai?
No. We make everything in our factories in Lahore and Sialkot, Pakistan, and ship it to the UAE by air courier. Our corporate office is near Chicago, in the US. We work with UAE buyers on WhatsApp and by email.
What is the customs duty on clothing in the UAE?
As of October 2026, 5% of the CIF value: the cost of the goods plus insurance and freight. Import VAT of 5% is charged on that value plus the duty. Confirm the rate for your product with your customs broker.
Do I need a trade license to import clothing into the UAE?
To import goods for a business, yes. The importer is a company with a UAE trade license, or a free zone company importing into its free zone. Your customs broker can confirm what your license allows.
Can you deliver DDP to Dubai?
Yes. We quote DDP (delivered duty paid) to your door anywhere in the UAE, with the duty and VAT paid, for one price. We also quote FOB Karachi if you book your own freight.
What is the minimum order for a UAE clothing brand?
Usually 25 pieces per style and color, with sizes mixed. Team uniforms start at 25 pieces per design, with names and numbers at no extra charge.
Can you make private label clothing with my labels?
Yes. We add your woven or printed neck labels, hang tags and size tabs, in English, or in Arabic and English. Orders ship in our standard packaging, and custom packaging is a separate order.
How long does shipping to the UAE take?
We confirm the shipping time to your city with your quote. Orders go by air courier with DHL, FedEx or UPS, with tracking.
How much does a sample cost?
One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. You check the fit, the fabric and the colors before we make your full order.
