Custom heavyweight t-shirts, from 25 pieces

We cut and sew heavyweight tees from fabric, so you choose the weight, the fit and the neck, not only the print. Most brands call a tee heavyweight from about 200 GSM (grams per square meter). We make one sample first, then your full order.

Heavyweight tee orders, in short

Sharknits makes custom heavyweight t-shirts for clothing brands. We cut and sew each tee from fabric, at the weight you choose in GSM and to your fit. Then we add your print, labels and tags. Most brands call a tee heavyweight from about 200 GSM. The minimum is usually 25 pieces per style and color, and sizes can be mixed. First we make one physical sample, for $150 to $500 depending on the design, plus shipping. Plan about 4 months ahead if you need several sample rounds. You pay in full when the order is ready to ship.

"Locked in for life"

Real talk, finding a manufacturer you can actually trust ain't easy. Sharknits came through for me heavy. I had a vision for my brand, and they didn't just get it, they executed it clean. The quality was solid, turnaround was quick, and they kept me in the loop the whole way. I ain't switching up, they're locked in as my go-to for every drop now.

Questions

Questions buyers ask

What GSM is a heavyweight t-shirt?

Most brands call a tee heavyweight from about 200 GSM (grams per square meter). Some go well above that for a thick, boxy feel. Tell us the weight you want, or send a tee you like.

What is the minimum order for heavyweight tees?

Usually 25 pieces per style and color. You can mix sizes within that number. Tell us what you are making and we will confirm.

How do I convert ounces to GSM?

Multiply ounces per square yard by about 33.9. A 6 oz tee is about 203 GSM, and a 7 oz tee about 237 GSM.

Do you make the tee itself, or print on a blank?

We make the tee itself. We cut the fabric and sew each tee to your fit and size chart, then add your print, labels and tags.

Can I get a boxy or oversized fit?

Yes. Send a photo of a tee you like, a sketch or a tech pack. We make the pattern to your size chart, then one sample for you to check.

Which print suits a heavyweight tee?

Screen printing gives bold color that lasts, and suits repeat runs. Puff print stands up off the fabric. Discharge and water-based prints feel soft. You see the print on your sample.

Can my tees have my own neck label?

Yes. We make woven or printed neck labels, hang tags and size tabs, like the printed labels on the Fince Up tees.

How much does a sample cost?

One physical sample costs $150 to $500, depending on the design, plus shipping. You feel the weight and check the fit before we make your full order.
